Marek A. Stawiski, M.D.

Dr. Marek StawiskiThe Psoriasis Treatment Center was established in Grand Rapids by Dr. Marek Stawiski in 1978. Dr. Stawiski has had psoriasis since the age of four and has tremendous empathy and understanding for his psoriasis patients. After specializing in Dermatology at the University of Michigan, Dr. Stawiski was instrumental in opening the psoriasis treatment center at U of M and in researching many new therapies for psoriasis. In 1978, he moved to Grand Rapids and opened the Psoriasis Treatment Center which has become the largest treatment center in the state.

Matthew T. Zoeteman, PA-C

Dermatology Physician Assistant

Matt Zoeteman is delighted to be joining the caring staff at the Psoriasis & Eczema Treatment Center of Western Michigan as a dermatology physician assistant. A Grand Rapids native, Matt obtained his Master of Physician Assistant Studies from Grand Valley State University in 2017. Prior to that, Matt was an orthopedic RN, after graduating from Grand Valley State University with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2014.

In his spare time, Matt enjoys all that Michigan has to offer with his fiancée, Cait, a registered dietitian. He can also be found at the dog beach in Muskegon, with his black lab rescue, Jack, or exploring Grand Rapids on his bike.

He is licensed by the State of Michigan and is board certified by the National Commission of Physician Assistants. Additionally, he is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and the Michigan Dermatology Physician Assistants. Matt believes that every patient should be treated like family. He is looking forward to meeting with, advocating for, and treating patients for their dermatological conditions.

Jessica L Zwolinski, NP-C

Dermatology Nurse Practitioner

Jessica completed her Master of Science in Nursing at the University of Cincinnati in 2015. After which, she spent time in pain management and physical medicine. Prior to becoming a nurse practitioner, Jessica obtained her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Cincinnati in 2011 and spent 4 years as a Registered Nurse in trauma and orthopedics.

Jessica recently relocated to the great state of Michigan from Ohio in February 2018. In her free time, she enjoys skiing, kayaking, spending time with her Labrador retriever, and traveling with her husband.

Jessica is licensed in the State of Michigan and certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. She is also a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. Jessica is excited to have found her passion in the world of dermatology. She enjoys medical dermatology as well as working with patients to create a plan of care, not only treating the condition; but also improving overall patient happiness and self-confidence.

Beth N. Sweney, PA-C

Dermatology Physician Assistant

Beth Sweney is thrilled to begin her career as a dermatology PA with the wonderful staff at the Psoriasis and Eczema Treatment Center of Western Michigan. After growing up in Perrysburg, Ohio, she attended Ferris State University where she graduated Summa Cum Laude and was named The Outstanding Graduate in Biology in 2016. She then obtained her Master of Physician Assistant Studies from Grand Valley State University in 2018. Beth has always wanted to pursue a career in dermatology and is excited for that dream to come true.

In addition to studying medicine, Beth enjoys swimming, biking, gardening, reading, and especially spending time with her daughter, Maddy.  She looks forward to spending her weekends on the beautiful Michigan beaches in summer, with plenty of sunscreen, of course!

Beth is licensed by the State of Michigan and is board certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants.  In addition to having a passion for helping patients, Beth also mentors pre-PA students at Ferris State and will be a guest lecturer for the PA program at Grand Valley.  Beth believes in treating every patient with compassion and evidence-based medicine because everyone deserves to feel comfortable in their own skin.
